UPDATE: That Uber Tip Thief Responds in the Worst and Most Expected Way
This is an update to our story on Tuesday, Nov 7, 2017 “[VIDEO] UBER Passenger Steals From Drivers Tip Jar, But Who is the Real Criminal?“
The ‘alleged’ thief has responded and it’s exactly what you would expect from this entitled twat.
To catch you up on what happened, in August a New York Uber driver picks up these three young ladies to take them to their next assumed crime scene. As the driver is doing his job, defensively driving, and trying to keep the trio of misfits safe while en route to their destination, the middle chick in back starts scheming.
And, what does he get for his professionalism and courtesy? Robbed by a privileged band of turds as they exit the car he works so hard everyday for. Cool.
The guy finally realizes what’s happened, but by then what can he do? You know the answer. He didn’t even file a police report because he just “doesn’t have the time to deal with it.” In reality, you know he didn’t because he knows how it will all work out; he spends a lot of time and money and the fools still get away with it.
Here’s the video again in case you haven’t seen it yet.
Now for the response.
The shit-show Inside Edition caught up with this dummy, only identified as “Gabby”, an 18 year-old example of the future of our country.
Editor’s note: I have her name and she doesn’t get to hide. If she wants fame, here she goes. Her name is Gabrielle Canales, and calls herself Gabita on social media.
Before I spill the response, take some guesses at what she said…
- I’m so sorry. I was being stupid and feel like an idiot.
- I knew it was dumb when I went for the money, but it was too late to turn back. I’m sorry.
- That driver was so nice and was working hard for his money. Who am I to thieve away his cash like that. I need to reach out to him and figure out a way to fix all of this. I am soooo sorry.
- I am sorry.
- I apologize.
- I regret what happened.
Nope, nope, and nope.
Instead here’s how she feels about the whole incident according to Inside Edition:
She has no regrets about taking the money.
“It was a kid thing to do,” she said. “My friend paid him back that day.”
She added that while it was something she did carelessly, “I do feel sorry to an extent” for taking the money.
She doesn’t, however, appear to have any remorse for the attention she’s gotten.
“It made me relevant,” she told Inside Edition. “You are calling me”
WHAT?!?! Are you kidding me? I have about 20 different thoughts running through my head right now.
The Uber driver’s getting kicked while he’s down. Wow. And if you’re wondering what Uber is saying about all this, it’s not much better. Even with the video evidence recorded from the driver’s dashcam, Uber states:
“The rider… advised us that she didn’t steal your cash from the tip jar. You may want to initiate a formal investigation via the police.”
And then there’s this!
Uber told Inside Edition it later revoked the rider’s account. However, Gabby says she has continued to use Uber without an issue, including as recently as Tuesday night.
The good guy loses again. Or, maybe not.
