IT has exploded at the box office! Sitting $123million over the weekend, this movie is breaking horror and R rated movie records. It beat The Conjuring’s $41million Friday debut at $51million, but came in #2 for R rated movies under Deadpools $132million weekend. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2017/09/11/it-box-office-pennywise-is-bigger-than-jesus-with-a-123m-weekend/amp/
Myself, along with the Podaholics crew, went out this weekend to check out It and this movie is fucking frightening. Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise is playfully sadistic. At first he’s bubbly and creepy and then Pennywise hits the throttle on the torment. You know the entity that is Pennywise could take any shape it desires, but It wants to be the clown, it loves being Pennywise the kid eating clown. Speaking of the kids, they are great actors, believable and smart. And this is just chapter one, playboy! Speaking of which, did you ever read the book? No? Have you ever wanted to know the differences in the story? Above is a video from YouTuber Cinefix, where they breakdown the difference between the 1986 novel and the 1990 T.V. Miniseries.
