[EXCLUSIVE] Twitter helps Comedy Central Decide on @midnight

JR Berard

Comedy Central announced last week that its new late night show @midnight will get at least 40 more weeks. It’s not a shocker that the network picked up the show with Nerdist host Chris Hardwick at the forefront. In the way of Who’s Line is it Anyway, it creates a friendly atmosphere among the contestants and the points don’t matter. The show also boasts a massive audience participation on Twitter, especially with segments like hash tag wars. @midnight is the third ranked in late night cable programs, only losing out to two of the networks’ most reliable tent poles shows Comedy Central produces The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

The show puts a panel of comedians against all things ‘social media’ for game show in which points are given out wildly by Hardwick. The show will returned January 6th with all-new episodes. However, Hardwick announced last week they, “we will keep the party going with Twitter challenges and never-before-seen content.” Please show your support by following @midnight on Twitter.
