[EXCLUSIVE] Schaal Heads to ABC
Get ready for more Kristen Schaal, she could be heading to ABC. Schaal and Rich Blomquist (her husband and producing partner) inked a deal with ABC for her to star in the new comedy American Monster. If the network picks up the show to series, it will feature Schaal star as a troubled suburbanite who becomes forced into a murder trial, according to Deadline. Blomquist and Schaal will write the script.
In the past few years Schaal has proven herself to a multi-use tool in the comedy toolbox, attaching herself to wide array of projects, as an occasional correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, the voice of Louise on Fox’s animated show Bob’s Burgers and voiced characters in this years two biggest animated films, Despicable Me 2 and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
