Happy Sweet Sixteen, South Park!
In 1995 a video card called, The Spirit of Christmas went viral. The animated-short’s escapades of Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman and an ice skating Jesus impressed a burgeoning cable network. A short time later, Comedy Central delivered its viewers a show called South Park.
Oh how time flies. The bouncing (and cussing and singing) baby of creators/writers Matt Stone and Trey Parker turned 16 this week. Yes, South Park has hit the sweet 16 milestone. The show that already produced nearly 240 episodes shows no signs of slowing with age. Comedy Central is slated to air South Park’s 17th season, beginning September 25th.
