IFC Puts a Bird on Two More Seasons of Portlandia
If you were upset Fred Armisen left SNL this season, don’t worry! IFC has ordered up two more seasons of his Emmy-nominated hit, Portlandia.
Along with partner Carrie Brownstein, Armisen has signed on to star in 20 episodes for the 2014 and 2015 seasons; 10 episodes a year. The Portland, OR show continually reports higher and higher ratings and has become IFC’s most popular program.
In the IFC press release, Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of IFC, said, “‘Portlandia’ has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more. We can now celebrate two more seasons.”
